Abstract
This dissertation aims to present a preliminary description of some aspects of Ikpeng's grammar. The language is spoken in the central area of the Xingu Reservation (Parque Indígena do Xingu) by a community of two hundred fifteen members. The work presents the parts of speech found in Ikpeng, the organization of independent and causative clauses, as well as some strategies for relativization and marking of the noun head inside the relative clause
