Abstract

R-(-)-Dictyopterene C () is a widespread constituent of many marine brown algae (Phaeophyceae). A highly enantioselective synthesis of i and its enantiomer ent- chromatographic separation of the diastereomeric γ-hydroxyphenylethylamide intermediates and is described.
