Abstract
The elastic scattering cross-sections for 6Li and 7Li ions backscattered from oxygen have been measured at energies below 5000 keV for 6Li and below 6000 keV for 7Li at a laboratory detection angle of 165°. The threshold energies above which Rutherford backscattering becomes invalid are 3600 keV for 6Li and 4000 keV for 7Li. Above these energies the cross-sections decrease below Rutherford. The cross-section data are presented in tabular and graphical form.
