Abstract
We have succeeded in growing high-quality single crystals of all the UTGa5 (T: transition metal) compounds by the Ga-flux method and measured the magnetic susceptibility. For UTGa5 (T: Fe, Ru, Os, Co, Rh, Ir), the susceptibility is almost temperature independent, indicating Pauli paramagnets. On the other hand, UTGa5 (T: Ni, Pd, Pt) orders antiferromagnetically. Despite the magnetic order, the paramagnetic susceptibility looks like that of Pauli paramagnet.
