Abstract
We propose a scaling for the S-cone fundamental which is approximately one eleventh of the respective L-cone scaling, and about one sixth of the M-cone scaling. We review supporting evidence and discuss some consequences for representing perceived colors. We find that our metric color space is locally isotropic around a certain white point close to CIE-D65.
