要旨
One of the major advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is continuous increase of the static magnetic field. This development is motivated by the increases in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), blood-oxygenation levelâdependent contrasts, and spectral resolution. However, going to ultra-high fields (7T and above) also requires new techniques and methods to make use of the full potential for human imaging. This talk provides an overview of the advantages and challenges of ultra-high field human MRI. Furthermore, results of recent projects at the 9.4T scanner of the Max Planck Institute for biological Cybernetics are presented.
