Abstract: The partial oxidation of methane to synthesis gas was investigated in a novel type of perm selective membrane reactor using Perowskite hollow fibers. The operating behaviour of this membrane reactor integrating the process steps selective separation of oxygen from air, selective O2 transfer in the membrane and oxidation of methane with simultaneous steam reforming was investigated theoretically by means of detailed 2D models and evaluated with performed experiments.
