 Abstract: This chapter investigates international institutions of financial market regulation and their changes after the 2008 financial crisis. Applying a social network approach, the author describes various aspects of the structure of the network that governs financial market regulation and its changes following the reform (tightened relations, expanded scope of the network). The chapter also demonstrates that in order to understand the effectiveness of a network and a type of governance system, the relationships between actors must be scrutinized carefully, for example, with regard to their nature and purpose.
