 Abstract: The ternary system Se-Te-I was investigated by differential thermal analysis and X-ray powder diffraction. No distinct (new) ternary phase appears in the system and there is only one small region of intermediate solid solutions based on α-Tel. The solid state phase equilibria of the complete ternary system are discussed.
