 Abstract: This presentation will give an overview of current topics in the Biological Cybernetics labs at the Max Planck Institute in Tübingen and the Department of Brain and Cognitive Engineering at Korea University. Recent examples from our research on face and object recognition will highlight the importance of dynamic and multi-sensory information as well as active vision for recognition and show how perceptual research can contribute towards the development of better artificial systems.
