 Abstract: The type material in the Zoologisches Museum der Universität Hamburg, Germany (ZMH) is listed. The collection contains type specimens of 113 species, mainly described by BRUNNER V. WATTENWYL, GÜNTHER and REDTENBACHER. The collection is especially strong in material from Borneo, Costa Rica, Fiji, Madagascar and Brazil. Lectotypes are designated for Creoxylus hagani REDTENBACHER, 1906, Xerosoma michaelis REDTENBACHER, 1906, Bacteria tenella REDTENBACHER, 1908 and Leprocaulus insularis verrucifer GÜNTHER, 1934
