Abstract: A new species of Buthidae, Tityus lokiae, is described from a blackwater inundation forest at the Tarum Mirím river near Manaus, Amazonas State, Brazil. This is the second member to join the 'Tityus adisi' group of species. So far, 14 scorpion species are known from the region of Manaus. First ecological aspects are given for all six species occurring in the inundation forest.
