 Abstract: In running waters, Turbellaria and Oligochaeta are distrubited in characteristic synecological groups. The most important regulator of distribution is the structure of the microhabitats. Phenology, human influences on the fauna, the value of some species as indicators of pollution and the role of Turbellaria and Oligochaeta in the stream ecosystem are discussed.
