Abstract: Aus Emergenzfängen im Benninger Ried 2002/2003 wurden rund 1300 aquatische Dipteren (1215 Psychodidae, 51 Dixidae, 22 Empididae) bearbeitet und ergaben 38 Taxa. About 1300 aquatic Diptera (1215 Psychodidae, 51 Dixidae, 22 Empididae) were collected in emergence traps at the Benninger Ried, Germany in 2002/2003 and yielded 38 taxa. One species, Lepimormia hemiboreale, has been proofed for the 1st time in Germany. Psychodidae were suitable to characterize the biotopes, springs with water high in calcium (sinter). The Psychodidae species Pericoma trifasciata, Phyllotelmatoscopus decipiens and Sycorax spec. are typical at such sites. With the appearance of decaying organic material additional species of Ulomyia, Satchelliella, Clytocerus and Tonnoiriella pulchra occur. Some Sycorax females evidently have had a blood meal.
