Abstract: The application of large amplitude oscillatory shear (LAOS) leads, in the non-linear regime, to the appearence of higher harmonics in the shear stress reponse. Analysing these data via Fourier-transformation is used to quantify the non-linear response of model PS-dispersions. Experiments give insight in the development (e.g. scaling behaviour) of the non-linearity and it's dependance with respect to particle size, surface charges and memory-effects of rigid PS-dispersions.
