 Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C16H12Br4N2O2, comprises half of a potential tetradentate Schiff base ligand. The whole molecule is generated by an inversion center located in the middle of the C-C bond of the ethylene segment. There are intramolecular O-H...N hydrogen bonds making S(6) ring motifs. In the crystal, no significant intermolecular interactions are observed.
