Zusammenfassung: Studies of collision-induced atomic fragmentation processes provide an insight into the dynamics of correlated many-body-systems, which theoretical description still represents one of the most fundamental challenges in physics. Kinematically complete experiments, where the momentum balance of all involved particles is measured, provide the most stringent test of theoretical models. In such experiments, surprising discrepancies between theory and experiment were found in the collision-induced ionisation of helium. In this work, a novel experimental technique, a so-called MOTReMi, consisting of a reaction microscope (ReMi) in combination with a magneto-optical trap (MOT), was assembled and could improve the recoil-ion momentum resolution compared of previous experiments by a factor of 2-3. Lithium was chosen as a target due to its interesting electronic structure. The experiments described here were carried out at the test storage ring TSR, and the single ionisation of lithium by 6 MeV protons as well as 24 MeV O8+ -ion impact was studied, corresponding to a very small and medium perturbation of the system. For the first time, fully differential cross sections for the ionisation of a target other than helium became accessible. Moreover, studies of the ionisation of a state-prepared and polarised target were possible. Characteristic structures are found in the fully differential data that can be traced back to properties of the wave functions of the initial state of the target.
