Zusammenfassung: It has been recently demonstrated that, at 7 Tesla, Respiration Induced Resonance Offset (RIRO), related to susceptibility effects, are observed with large amplitude in the human brain. An algorithm has also been introduced to correct transverse EPI series for resulting apparent motion. Here it is demonstrated that in sagittal EPI series, this algorithm (a global linear phase shift in the k-space) provides an incomplete correction because RIRO amplitude varies as a function of Z-axis location. A RIRO correction algorithm in the hybrid time-space domain is introduced for sagittal EPI, accounting for the Z-dependence.
